Development Lead / Lead Programmer

ASCII is an experienced Unreal developer, and has been working in games as both a professional and hobbyist for 7 years now, adopting UE4 at launch. They grew up with the original 2001 BIONICLE sets, and found a home leading Team Kanohi on this adventure.

Jordan Willis

Creator / Project Lead

Jordan created BIONICLE: Masks of Power at just 12 years old with the help of his brother Ian. This was the start of Jordan’s path to being an accomplished developer, and it lead to the creation of Team Kanohi as it is. Sharpening skills wherever possible, Jordan completed the ‘Legacy’ version of BMOP shortly after turning 18 in May of 2021.

Kaylie Vinchenstein

Animation Lead / Art Direction Lead / Gameplay Co-Lead

Kaylie is an artist who specializes in storytelling. Whether this be through the individual movements of animated characters or through the course the comics she produces, it's important that art supplements a meaning. A BIONICLE fan from a young age, she joined Team Kanohi with minimal animation experience, but has since significantly developed over the course of the project. Now she works as director of animation alongside the visual direction of the island, and has contributed much of the environmental concept art.

Garrett

Audio Lead / Composer

Garrett, also known for his work on Quest for Mata Nui, is an experienced audio designer and music composer with over 10 years of industry experience. As a seasoned industry veteran, Garrett is thrilled to explore the soundscape of Mata Nui in all of it’s aspects, from the buzzing jungles to the visceral combat.

 

Lucy Jacobs

3D Art Lead

Desperately wants to be making video games. Loves making 3D art as a collision of technique and technology. Uses every spare moment to develop independent games in Unreal Engine. Listens to too much heavy metal and noise. All their LEGOs are in the computer now. Just happy to be here.

Ethan Godwin

Level Design Lead

Ethan is a passionate level designer looking to craft meaningful experiences that players can look back on with a smile. He graduated college with a published indie game and several other completed projects under his belt, and is incredibly excited to build exciting and memorable experiences that will immerse fans in the world of BIONICLE that he fell in love with as a kid.

Francisco Pérez

Music Lead / Sound Design

Francisco is a professional composer from Santiago, Chile with more than 10 years in the music world and 5 years in the business, He's the co-founder of Austral Visual Music and known for his work on Sailaway: The Sailing Simulator. A LEGO fanatic and videogame enthusiast since early age, ready to re-experience the world of BIONICLE one more time.

Mark Stefely (Markle)

PR Manager / Narrative Designer

Markle has been a part of Team Kanohi since 2017, and has been trying to convince everyone else that he knows what he's doing ever since. He grew up surrounded and fascinated by the world and lore of the BIONICLE universe, and is proud to be able to add to it through his work on Masks of Power.

 

Jordan Black

Narrative Design Lead

Jordan Black is a lifelong BIONICLE fan and game designer. In their free time, they also make YouTube videos, and can still be found playing with LEGOs on occasion.

Pascal Krabbe

Technical Art Lead / Environment Design Lead

Pascal has been doing game dev since around 2005 and has come a long way. His coding explorations on a BIONICLE demo in UE3 partially inspired BIONICLE: Masks of Power, and having him come around full circle to help with it has been Legendary.

Maggy Lisakowski

Lighting Artist / Set Dresser

While not technically part of Team Kanohi, Maggy has helped tremendously with the look of BIONICLE: Masks of Power! Maggy has started as a concept artist and illustrator around 2011 and has gradually shifted towards game development since then. Together with Pascal Krabbe she is now leading an Indie Studio working on their second title. Also she loves cute and wholesome things.

Ian Willis

Co-Creator / Programmer / Level Designer

At 16 years old, his brother Jordan asked him to teach him how to make video games so he could make his dream game - an open world Bionicle adventure game. While helping to program this new game, Ian showed Jordan everything he knew about game design. The brothers completed Masks of Power: Legacy (with much help from a burgeoning Team Kanohi) in May of 2021.

Liam is an engineer by day, and self-taught jack-of-all-trades by night, whose primary talents are determination and failing forward. Interested in every aspect of game design and audio, his goal is to recreate Mata Nui at its most stunning.

Technical Sound Designer

Pumodi has been working in sound for around a decade, doing everything from sound design and music to programming. He is lending his technical expertise and implementation skills to Team Kanohi to make Mata Nui's sound immersive and help each audio dev achieve their vision.

Web Designer / Graphic Designer

Entrepreneur, philanthropist, millionaire... He's none of those. However, Kluuucha is a software engineer interested in web design, frontend design and UX. He puts his skills to use as the Web Designer for Team Kanohi, also helping a bit with the utility graphics of the game itself (Such as logos, UI etc.)

Dustin Beelow

Graphic Designer / Concept Artist

Dustin is a Chicago-based multimedia designer running a freelance practice in book layout and illustration, UI/UX, and branding. Five years of professional experience are built on a foundation of classical fine art training, and a deep love for evocative worldbuilding as found in the 2001 BIONICLE universe, among others.

Becoming a family doctor didn't prepare him for game design, but he has a special place in his heart for BIONICLE. He likes to draw stuff during his spare time so he's here helping with art and UI design.

Cristóbal Guzmán Bejarano

Audio Mixing Engineer

Cristóbal Guzmán is a professional music producer and artistic manager from Chile. He has been working in music for audiovisual media with his co-founded project "Austral Visual Music", producing, mixing and mastering tracks for short films, simulators and youtubers. His love for BIONICLE started when he was a child, and it continues to grow by working in BIONICLE: Masks of Power.

Xeron

Discord Moderator / Playtester

Xeron started as a fan of Masks of Power: Legacy in its earlier days, and became a top fan. Eventually we needed more moderators to help with our sudden growth, and Xeron was there to take up the role.

Essenger

Sound Designer / Composer

Essenger is a devoted fan of BIONICLE who has channeled his passion into a multifaceted career as a composer, producer, and sound designer. His work spans a range of fan projects, including the creation of virtual reality environments inspired by Mata Nui, remastering the MNOG soundtrack, and producing various animations, artwork and music. His commitment to these projects stems from his a passion for the franchise as well as a desire to rekindle the enthusiasm of former BIONICLE fans, and provide the existing community with a blend of nostalgic and reimagined content.

Marcos is a passionate digital artist specialized in 2D/3D art for videogames. Since he was a kid he always wanted to participate in a project related to the toys that influenced his childhood: BIONICLE. That's how he discovered the project BIONICLE: Masks of Power, becoming one of the latest additions to the Team Kanohi. His dream is to turn Mata Nui into a unique and unforgettable world.

Reed Mosby

Level/Environment Designer

Mosby is a Game Design graduate who has been working in the game industry for the past few years. He's been designing levels for 15 years starting on Halo 3's forge mode. He spends his free time working on game projects and managing his Bricklink store. He brings years of design and professional experience from his time working on AAA titles such as Destiny 2 and Fortnite.

Llibert Sans

3D Generalist

Llibert Sans is a 3D Generalist that specializes in 3D modeling and animation but also has experience with rigging, texturing, coding, character design, environmental design and sound design.

Jake OK

Environmental Concept Artist

Based out of Philadelphia, Jake is a concept artist with an appreciation for 'spiritual scifi', fantasy, mysticism, and cats. They aim to imbue all their work with just enough mystery to immerse the viewer, leaving them curious and excited to explore fantastic worlds. Originally falling in love with game art through the Forerunner megastructures of the original Halo trilogy, the BIONICLE franchise would only strengthen their love of unique strains of scifi/fantasy.

 

Dane Braddy

Voice Actor - Lewa

Along with being a lifelong BIONICLE obsessive, Dane is an actor who has performed professionally on stage, in indie games, and audiobooks. He also writes, draws, and composes music. Every creative skill and hobby of Dane’s originated as a result of his BIONICLE fandom, and he still stays up late at night wishing he could purge the names of each individual Rahskhii, Piraka, and Krana powers from his mind so that they can be replaced with actual useful information. As a side gig, he handmakes and sells cosplay Kanohi Masks on Etsy.

Kristy Bores

3D/Material Artist

Kristy is a 3D Environments and Prop Artist and has been exploring 3D artwork since 2009. A fan since 2002, BIONICLE has played large role in shaping her sense of visual aesthetic and storytelling.

Shinebox

Narrative Designer

Shinebox primarily keeps to themselves, but joined Team Kanohi to help round out the Toa’s quest in BIONICLE: Masks of Power

 

OniFox

Animation / Code Artist

OniFox has over a decade with self-taught experience in everything 3D/Animation related, and has recently started expanding that knowledge to Game-Design. They have been a big fan of Bionicle ever since childhood, and while they only recently got acquainted with the lore, they are dedicated to making BIONICLE: Masks of Power the best BIONICLE games out there! Aside from BIONICLE: Kapura Adventures of course!~

Narrative Designer

A BIONICLE fan since the very beginning, Ren joined Team Kanohi in hopes of creating a game that fans can deeply immerse themselves in. Ren has loved spinning yarns and telling tales in mystical and outlandish worlds for over six years with a more recent interest in breaking into the gaming industry as their medium of choice. To build a soulful setting with a personal touch alongside other passionate creators is their M.O., and BIONICLE: Masks of Power is no exception.

Vahki6

3D Modeler

A legend says Vahki6 is born from a 3Dprinter. Known for being a mask maker, he also likes making instructions for Dark Hunters and Rahi, MOCing, and bringing to life anything related to BIONICLE. He first worked on BQfMN as an asset modeler before joining Team Kanohi with the same goal: giving people fantastic places to explore.

Howard "StormTruck"

3D Artist

From the lands of vikings. Howard has a bachelor degree in game design and specializes in Environmental art and hard surface objects. He grew up with Bionicle and has a strong fascination for anything robotic and mechanical, which reflects his artistic identity.
